Rose worked in the higher education sector for 16 years which culminated in a global role as Director of External Relations at the University of Newcastle (UON).

After ten years at UON, she helped establish the Institute of Civil Infrastructure as Director of Professional Programs for the peak body, the Civil Contractors Federation. 

She has considerable senior leadership experience and a proven capacity to work and deliver outcomes in complex and challenging environments. Rose also has an impressive track record of high-level stakeholder engagement and advocacy on a state, national and international level.

Rose commenced as CEO at Churches Housing Incorporated, and in the first year undertook change leadership which delivered a new Constitution, and a rebranding of the organisation to Faith Housing Australia. The new brand is more aligned to its work with organisations and community housing providers across all faiths. 

Amanda BAiley

Amanda is an accomplished public affairs executive across strategic communications, public relations and stakeholder engagement. She has more than ten years’ experience delivering highly successful campaigns in both the corporate and not-for-profit sectors, focusing on social impact and advocacy.

Amanda led the team to develop Wesley Mission’s renewed advocacy strategy, enabling collaborations from service experts and voices of lived experience to launch the ‘Put Pokies in Their Place’ platform. From a standing start, poker machine reform became a major election issue in the 2023 NSW State Election, with the campaign receiving more than 2,000 pieces of earned media coverage, an estimated reach of more than two billion and leading to significant philanthropic contributions.

Raf Rayos

Raf is a graduate of the Sydney Alliance Internship Program (2020). His internship saw him work as part of the team who established the Oz International Students’ Hub. The Hub is the only grassroots-based international students’ hub in New South Wales developed for and by international students.

Since his legal management degree, he has pursued work roles and volunteered his services to community services and causes focused on social justice and equality.

Raf now assists the CEO and the executive leads across all portfolios at Faith Housing Australia as the Administration Officer.

Bavleen Kaur Rai

Bavleen is in her first year of study at WSU for a Bachelor of Nursing Degree. She joined FHA in July 2022 to support our team.

Bavleen works at FHA on Fridays.
