Innovation

Minto Gardens, Minto social and affordable housing built by member Anglicare Sydney.

FHA and its members are always looking to innovate
across the work we do to provide affordable housing in Australia.

Fundamentally Faith Housing Alliance and its members believe that innovation should weave through all that we do, and continual improvements are a critical part of that.

Our approach to innovation

Most innovation is “sustaining innovation” as we seek to get better at what we already do. The faith housing sector has lots to offer in building and innovating from the work the sector has been engaged in for decades. We also learn from the experience and evidence of others.

To us, innovation is not a strategy or a framework, and we don’t want to be constrained saying ‘this is how we innovate’. We believe innovation is about improving what we do but also solving problems for a better future in housing for all, and building stronger, safer, healthier and thriving communities.

Innovation is not a strategy or framework

We believe innovation is about improving what we do but also solving problems for a better future in housing for all. We believe in building homes that deliver stronger, safer, healthier. more secure affordable rentals and homes, which in turn builds thriving communities.

Our members are regularly winning design awards as they put innovation into practice.

We also partner with others in research projects to build capacity our across the sector and provide the insights and perspectives of the housing faith sector.
