Most innovation is “sustaining innovation” as we seek to get better at what we already do. The faith housing sector has lots to offer in building and innovating from the work the sector has been engaged in for decades. We also learn from the experience and evidence of others.
To us, innovation is not a strategy or a framework, and we don’t want to be constrained saying ‘this is how we innovate’. We believe innovation is about improving what we do but also solving problems for a better future in housing for all, and building stronger, safer, healthier and thriving communities.

The research explored placemaking and community development in multi-cultural high rise and high density urban environments.
The Vertical Villages: Community, Place and Urban Density research project was a collaboration funded through an Enterprise Partnership Scheme between Macquarie University, the Faith Housing Alliance, supported by a grant from the Salvation Army and BaptistCare, and in collaboration with the Together for Ryde Ministers’ Network.
FHA was pleased to join this coalition of housing and social sector peak bodies in a powerful partnership to better understand the recovery challenges ahead of us.
