Faith Housing Alliance points to a new way forward.
Since the 1990s, when we were first established as Churches Community Housing, our values of caring for our neighbours and for the human dignity of all, was woven into our core work then and continues to be a big part of who we are, and what we do today.
FHA is an association of members who believe that access to safe, adequate, healthy and secure housing is essential for any human to flourish. Our members have contributed greatly to the supply of, and access to social, transition, emergency, affordable, disability and aged care housing.
In this the fourth decade of our story, we remain true to our Christian foundation and history, but our new name in 2022 – Faith Housing Alliance – points to our more inclusive approach as we work with our society’s broad faith communities – the individuals, the families, and the many and varied faith-based organisations.
All of us, seeking to deliver on our common purpose – providing safe, adequate and affordable housing for all.
“The value and role of the faith sector in the provision of thousands upon thousands of homes it has delivered over the years, and the wrap-round care services it offers its tenants and housing communities cannot be understated!”
— Rose Thomson, CEO
